Este fim de semana tivemos a honra de participar como palestrantes convidado no 5th Lisbon Shoulder Course, organizado pela Equipa de Ombro do Hospital CUF Descobertas.
Apresentamos:
• A atualidade no tratamento das lesões SLAP, partilhando a evidência mais recente, a nossa experiência cirúrgica e resultados clínicos.
• Uma palestra no Symposium Arthrex sobre o sistema VIP na artroplastia do ombro – quando o utilizo e porquê, principais funcionalidades, vantagens face a outros sistemas de planeamento pré‑operatório e casos clínicos operados com esta tecnologia.
Quero destacar o trabalho notável do Grupo de Ombro da CUF, em especial do Dr. António Cartucho, pelo papel decisivo no desenvolvimento da cirurgia do ombro como subespecialidade em Portugal.
I had the honor of participating as an invited speaker at the 5th Lisbon Shoulder Course, organized by the Shoulder Team of Hospital CUF Descobertas.
My contributions included:
• A talk on the current concepts in the management of SLAP lesions, sharing the latest evidence, our surgical experience, and clinical outcomes.
• A presentation at the Arthrex Symposium on the VIP system in shoulder arthroplasty – when and why I use it, key functionalities, advantages over other pre‑operative planning systems, and clinical cases performed with this technology.
I would like to acknowledge the outstanding work of the CUF Shoulder Group, especially Dr António Cartucho, for their key role in advancing shoulder surgery as a subspecialty in Portugal.
